Use this dialog to control how memoQ imports plain text (.txt) files.

How to begin

In the Translations pane of Project home, choose Import > Import with options button on the Documents ribbon tab, and in the Open dialog, locate and select a plain-text (.txt) file.

Options

Select encoding: Use this list to choose the encoding to be applied during import of plain text files.

Preview: This box displays a preview of the text to be imported with the given encoding selected, so you immediately see if you've chosen the right encoding.

Note: If you import a TXT document without invoking this dialog, memoQ uses the encoding set as default in your operating system.

Note: memoQ generates a preview for TXT files using the Internet Explorer's default fonts.
